11B NCOER Bullets — Infantryman

The 11B Infantryman closes with and destroys the enemy through fire and maneuver, or repels enemy assault by close combat. NCOERs for 11B Soldiers typically cover fire team member, squad leader, and platoon sergeant duty positions in a rifle company, and evaluators expect bullets that show weapons proficiency, small-unit tactics, and the physical and mental toughness the branch is built on.

Typical duty positions:

Serves as a rifleman, grenadier, or automatic rifleman within a fire team or squad

Leads dismounted patrols, react-to-contact drills, and squad-level tactical training

Maintains individual and crew-served weapons systems to standard for immediate employment

Conducts pre-combat checks and inspections before every mission or training event

Trains subordinates on battle drills, land navigation, and marksmanship fundamentals

Enforces field discipline, noise and light discipline, and small-unit SOPs
